This control level is applied to the user account of a client dentist. This user will not have access to the Control Centre and will only be able to make particular actions within the software, such as view the job history for their account.

Client accounts are available if you are using LabManager (cloud version), and your client has an appropriate subscription.

Linking a client user account to a customer account

IMPORTANT: If you change the dentist ID on a dentist user account, the dentist user will have access to the jobs of the dentist associated with that ID - be sure you add the correct dentist ID to the dentist's user account!

For a client (dentist) to be able to log in to their own account, they must have a LabManager (cloud version) subscription, and an existing customer account within LabManager.

To link a client user account to their dentist account, follow these steps:

  • Make a note of the customer account ID of the dentist
  • In Setup Wizard > Users/Technicians, click the Logon box at the top right and choose "Client" to view your client users
  • Double-click on the user account for the dentist
  • Enter the customer account ID in the "Customer ID" box on the left

The dentist name should appear below this box, to confirm you have entered the ID correctly.

Now, when the dentist user logs in via LabManager (cloud version), they will see their own orders and will be able to place new orders.
