Transactor Cloud gives dental labs and (optionally) practices, dentists, groups, as well as trusted partners secure access to Lab Manager anywhere at any time.

Transactor Cloud is a new venture and one which we are rightly very excited about. Hosting Lab Manager V8 in the cloud provides secure access via any device with an internet connection – from anywhere in the world. Our team manages software updates and daily backups for you, although you can make your own additional backups locally, if you wish. Another useful feature of the Transactor Lab Manager database residing on Transactor Cloud, is the support team can have direct access to help out with queries, advice and assistance if requested. Don’t know how you ended up with an account £1000 in credit? No problem, the team can check it out with you, and if it needs an adjustment they can do it “while you watch”.

Bringing Lab Manager online opens up the opportunity for your lab to optionally grant secure access to both your customers: dentists and practices, other labs and also other trusted third-parties. By allowing customers secure access they can view their own jobs to check on their progress, add attachments, send messages to the lab etc. They can also submit new jobs for the lab to review before accepting or adjusting. Any communication from one side is instantly shown on the other side via a notification counter and window.

These features save time— minimising the need for timely back and forth communication with the practice via the phone, email or other instant messaging methods/apps. Our team’s aspiration behind “Whole prescription—Whole point” is to do away with so many different locations for elements of the prescription by having the whole prescription always in one place—that’s the whole point.

With the full transcript of any messaging shown underneath every job, plus private lab-only messages and attachments that can be added (again optionally, some lab-only). Transactor Cloud enables prescriptions to evolve over the entire manufacturing process, making these aspirations a reality.

This works a little differently to the desktop version, as every user requires an account, rather than every PC requiring a licence. So, the lab manager would require an account, and each member of staff that needs to log in will require an account, unless they share accounts.

Important information

The database will be stored on our server and can be accessed from any device with a web browser or via our client software. We run automatic overnight backups, and keep a rolling 7 day archive.

Any device with a browser and internet connection can be used, although the system has not been optimised for touch screens. Preferably you should use Windows or Mac desktops to access Transactor Lab Manager using our dedicated cloud application.

An account can only be signed in to one device at any one time.

Accounts require two-step verification where a unique code is sent to the user’s email address and/or mobile phone on every log in, so users will require access to the email address or mobile phone.

Dentists and practices can be given access to sign in to view their own jobs, as well as submit new jobs, add attachments and messages.
