Price Bands
Before turning Cable on it is a good idea to specify which of your prices you wish to be available for use by Cable customers. You may prefer to make only particular prices available for use through the Cable interface. Cable-enabled prices can also be used for your non-Cable customers.
We recommend using the "cloud_NHS", "cloud_Private" and "cloud_Independent" price bands for use by your Cable customers. This way you can keep your internal price bands separate from the ones your cloud users will use. You can copy prices from your existing bands into those bands by using the "Copy prices from one band to another" link on the right of the page.
Making a price band available/not available on Cable:
A price band needs to be Cable enabled before it will appear for use to your Cable customers. The "cloud_" price bands should already be enabled, and if you've imported your Transactor 6 or 7 data, you may see some of your popular price bands are already set as enabled.
Note that this setting only applies to new jobs being created by your customers on Cable.
| • | Use Tools menu > Control Centre > Setup Wizard > Price Bands. |
| • | Double-click a price band, or select it then click the Edit icon. |
| • | Ensure you set a Grade to indicate if this price band represents NHS, Independent or Private |
| • | Tick the box for "Cable (visible on Cable Dental)" to make this price band available for use by Cable customers. Untick it to hide this price band on Cable. |
| • | Repeat for all price bands you want to make available/not available for Cable Dental use. |
Customer Prices
| • | Click the Prices tab button at the bottom right of the page |
| • | Add your Cable enabled prices to this customer by clicking the green plus icon then Ctrl+clicking each price band to add to this customer, then click Select |
| • | Optionally select one of the price bands to be this customer's usual prices, by selecting it then clicking the star |
